COOMBE ON DOWN – Remember Dame Nellie Melba’s house? Well, now it is Coombe Yarra Valley – home to a cellar door and stunning restaurant/cafe. They’ve just launched a Food and Wine Flight experience called “Petite Degustation” in the Cellar Door – basically a selection of four of their finest wines paired with carefully curated regional bites think 2015 Pinot Noir matched with local quail, beetroot coulis, black pudding and parsley coulis. PARK IT RIGHT HERE – Carlton’s Green Park has had a re-boot – the new Park Street Dining is still a fabulous community-feel cafe during the day, with fab brunch items joined by lunch offerings including a pie or house-made pasta of the day, and fresh, ever-changing salad options. ‘ATTA BOY – Tell you what, the new flavour of the month in Melbourne is Indian. We had Piquancy pop up in Hawthorn, then Bhang in Brunswick, and the new kid on the block is Atta in Albert Park.
