The Victorian Parliament’s presiding officer has confirmed the alleged Labor party printing rort will be investigated by IBAC.

The anti-corruption watchdog will investigate claims Labor MPs rorted their printing allowances to help pay for party memberships.

The claims were made by whistleblowers to the Herald Sun last week.

It’s understood invoices worth more than $200,000 have been examined by the parliament.

Upper House MP Khalil Eideh asked for a full audit of his office after being named in connection to the scandal.

The Herald Sun today reports Federal MPs including Bill Shorten and Kim Carr have used the printing firm at the centre of alleged rorting.

But both men say their dealings with the company have been above board.
