Footscray pedestrian killed to end horror weekend
A pedestrian has died after a collision involving a bike at Footscray overnight, ending a horror weekend on Victoria roads.
It was the fifth death in two days, and the seventh since Friday.
The circumstances of the Footscray incident, which happened on Moore Street about midnight, are not yet clear.
On Saturday night, three backpackers died and another suffered life threatening injuries in a suspected alcohol-fueled smash in Dingwall.
Hours later, Clyde North woman, 51, died in a two-car cash at Dandenong South.
