St Kilda skipper saves the day!
He’s known for his intercept marking in defence while captain of St Kilda in the AFL, but Jarryn Geary has made an even more valuable save.
Paul Carlyle has told Tom Elliott how the Saints skipper stopped his young son from riding his bike across a busy bayside road.
Mr Carlyle was out with his five-year-old son, Hugo, this week when Hugo kept riding ahead and on to South Road.
“I was running and yelling and screaming (for him to stop) but he couldn’t hear me,” Paul told Tom Elliott.
Enter Jarryn Geary, who was in a car driving by.
“He got out and ran over to Hugo and grabbed him and hung onto him until I got there,” Mr Carlyle explained.
“I was compeltely freaked out and grateful and then I realised it was Jarryn Geary!”
Turns out Mr Carlyle is a St Kilda supporter.
“I became a bit of a fan boy,” he confessed.
