Reptiles, puppy stolen from Echuca Pet Shop
RUMOUR CONFIRMED: Pythons, bearded dragons and a puppy have been stolen from the Echuca Pet Shop in an early morning raid.
Thieves smashed through the front door of the pet store and stole the licensed animals early on Wednesday morning.
Co-owner of the store, Greg Armstrong, told 3AW Breakfast they threw a rock through the front door and knew what they were doing.
‘They took the whole lot of them, on the way out they took a kelpie pup,’ he said.
‘The smaller one of the pythons actually needs hand feeding, it won’t go for food unless you’re holding it in your hand.
‘They knew exactly what they were after.’
Mr Anderson said the reptiles need specialist care.
Police have confirmed they are investigating and are looking for two young men.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
