St Kilda champ Nick Riewoldt won’t play against Melbourne this week.

The six-time best and fairest winner suffered a head knock in last Sunday’s stirring win against West Coast.

Mitch Cleary revealed on Sportsday on Wednesday that Riewoldt was unlikely to play.

Riewoldt could now have as little as two games remaining in his career after his recent retirement announcement.

A loss this week would almost certainly end the Saints’ finals hopes, given their poor percentage.
