A business in Pearcedale has been held up a knifepoint.

3AW Breakfast’s Rumour File was told the hold-up took place at a newsagency right opposite a school.

Police have confirmed they were were called to a business on Baxter-Tooradin road in Pearcedale about 1.50pm on Wednesday.

It is believed that a man entered the business armed with a knife and demanded cash before leaving the scene on foot.

No one was injured during the incident and the investigation is ongoing.
