Violent, threatening and expletive-ridden flyer left on workers windscreens
RUMOUR CONFIRMED
Workers around a business subject to recent demonstration have returned to vehicles to find flyers with violent, threatening and expletive-ridden wording on the windscreens of their cars.
The Rumour File was told about the ugly flyer on Monday.
Trades Hall has taken responsibility for it.
They provided 3AW Breakfast with the following statement.
“I can confirm the flyer was produced by Trades Hall. An Element Five/VCON site manager was arrested and charged after making the abusive threats mentioned in the flyer, to a 26 year old woman campaigning to expose the company’s shocking health and safety record which has resulted in one death and multiple injuries,” it read.
“Element Five/VCON were made well aware of the disgusting behaviour exhibited by their site manager, but have so far refused to impose any sanction or take any disciplinary action against the man in question.
“The language contained in the flyer is strong, but what’s far more offensive is the idea of a large building company endangering workers’ lives every day to save a few bucks, and implicitly endorsing gendered violence in the workplace by refusing to take action against the employee responsible for these vile threats. Such shocking behaviour must be exposed.”
