Police investigate shooting in Campbellfield
LATEST: Detectives believe a shooting at a busy car park in Melbourne’s north was targeted.
A 27-year-old man was shot in the leg and the groin at the corner of Mahoneys and Sydney Roads in Campbellfield at 9.30am.
Detective Inspector Steve Clark says they hope to question three men.
3AW News has been told the victim’s brothers arrived a short time later asking who was responsible before the man was taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in a stable condition.
There have been at least three shootings in the carpark in the past year including a fatal shooting outside Officeworks.
One worker told 3AW News it was a ‘scary place’ to be at night.
