Matthew Lloyd has weighed in on the suspensions handed down from round 1 in the AFL, focusing on the incidents involving Jack Scrimshaw, Jackson Archer and Justin McInerney.

Each player has been suspended for three weeks, with Scrimshaw and Archer to challenge their bans at the Tribunal on Tuesday night, while McInerney has accepted his ban.

“I think it’s become excessive,” Lloyd told Jacqui Felgate on 3AW Drive.
