Simon Owens has paid tribute to his 3AW colleague Philip Brady following his death this morning.

Owens and Brady shared a lovely on-air partnership on the Remember When program, and stated he owes his entire career to Brady.

“It was an incredible career,” Owens told Tom Elliott on 3AW Mornings.

Owens also shed light on Brady’s pancreatic cancer diagnosis last December, and the strength he showed in his final months.

“He went downhill very quickly, but the one thing he refused to do was let the audience know,” he said.
