NRL club Melbourne Storm made headlines on the weekend, when they made the call to reduce the number of Welcome of Country ceremonies before their home games next season.

Regular 3AW Football commentator Matt Granland “applauded” the decision by the Storm, and thinks the ceremonies are still good for certain occasions, two in particular when turning his attention to the AFL.

“I reckon less is more,” Granland said on 3AW’s Wide World of Sports.
