Liberal MP RESIGNS from shadow cabinet after John Pesutto loses defamation case
The Liberal MP for Nepean Sam Groth has just announced he is resigning from the shadow cabinet following yesterday’s Federal Court ruling and opposition leader John Pesutto’s decision to stay in the role.
He’s revealed in a statement he can no longer stay in the role in “good conscience”.
“My loyalty remains with the members of the Liberal Party, the people of my electorate of Nepean and all of Victioria,” he said.

Jacqui Felgate has questioned if this means a leadership spill is on the cards for the Coalition.
“That means they’re doing the numbers,” she said.
