Man rescued from suspicious apartment blaze at Prahan
A man has been rescued from the window of his burning second storey apartment.
The man in his 20s says he’s lucky to be alive given the apartment doesn’t have smoke alarms.
Fire crews arrived on Commercial Road around 4.30am on Tuesday to find Nicholas standing on the awning in his underwear.
It took 40 minutes to bring the blaze under control and it’s now being treated as suspicious.
Nicholas says he has no idea why anyone would deliberately set fire to his home and he’s still in shock.
