Nine News reporter and 3AW contributor Tony Jones wants the AFLW fixture to be changed for next season.

It has been a major topic of conversation in 2024, with many footy fans asking for the AFLW fixture to be throughout the winter and in line with the AFL season.

“I still think the whole fixturing is wrong,” Tony Jones said on 3AW Mornings.

“They should be played as curtain raisers to the men’s game and that’s not demeaning to the women’s competition.”
