The ‘neo-Nazi’ comment from Jacinta Allan which Tom Elliott found ‘utterly appalling’
Tom Elliott has gone off on Victorian Premier Jacinta Allan after she used the term ‘neo-Nazi’ in the context of a discussion about the ‘Guru Nanak Lake’ in Melbourne’s outer south-east.
3AW Mornings covered the story two weeks ago about the Berwick Springs lake being renamed after the founder of the Sikh faith without community consultation, leading to a petition to try and stop the name change.
“That is utterly ridiculous, it is stupid, and Jacinta Allan should be better than that although clearly she’s not,” the 3AW Mornings host said.

“I can tell you Jacinta, you made a dumb, stupid, potentially even racist mistake here,” he said.
Head petitioner of the petition against the renaming of the local lake, Michael Ball, said he’s “offended” by the Premier’s comments and has called on her to apologise.
“This is an extraordinary attack from the state Premier on Victorians,” Mr Ball told Tom Elliott.
Press PLAY to hear him strongly condemn the Premier’s comments
“I’m offended, and on behalf of all Victorians, this is a terrible state of affairs,” he said.
