Federal Housing Minister Clare O’Neil isn’t backing down from her government’s plan to tackle the housing crisis.

The Albanese Government’s Help to Buy and Build to Rent schemes aim to help low and middle income earners purchase their first home, but is facing some opposition from the Greens.

Ms O’Neil told Tom Elliott after years of no dedicated policy to fix the housing crisis, it was time for action.

“(Help to Buy and Built to Rent schemes) are one part of our agenda,” she said on 3AW Mornings.

“Our government has come to office after a decade of complete neglect…we’ve come in with this bold and ambitious agenda.”
