Moira Deeming not happy with ‘counterproductive’ ticketing decision on local concert
Independent MP Moira Deeming says opting to only charge some people attending a music festival in Werribee is creating unnecessary division in the community.
The ‘Treaty in the Park’ event will take place on Sunday, with First Nations people being given free entry while everyone else will be charged a $50 entry fee.
Ms Deeming, who is the MP in the area where the event is taking place, told Tom Elliott the ticketing decision is “counterproductive”.

“It is so counterproductive,” she said on 3AW Mornings.
“And it will create the very situation that we’ve been working so hard to eradicate – divisive, race-based divisions along our society.”
