Donald Trump’s comprehensive US election victory is raising questions whether a similar trend could place during next year’s Federal Australian election.

The state of the economy and high inflation emerged as a key issue for US voters during the election, with the former president campaigning on a platform to fix the current cost of living crisis.

Former Australian ambassador for the US Dennis Richardson said America’s relationship with China under president-elect Trump could impact Australia.
