Last week on 3AW Mornings, Channel Nine News sports presenter Tony Jones said the A-League was “bordering on irrelevant.”

However, after tuning into Saturday night’s Melbourne derby between Melbourne Victory and Melbourne City he has changed his view on the league.

“If they can replicate that in the coming weeks, maybe the A-League will experience a renaissance,” Jones said on 3AW Mornings.
