Shane McInnes calls out council election process, lack of high profile candidates
Shane McInnes has called out how local council elections are carried out, wondering why so few local candidates are well known in their area.
He also questioned why residents would be fined for not sending their postal vote back, especially considering how low profile those running for council are.

“It seems most had no idea of the candidates in their local area, let alone what they stood for or what difference they were hoping to make,” he said on 3AW Afternoons.
“The loudest candidates running for council around the state seem more intent on solving the conflict on the Gaza strip, instead of mowing the nature strip.”
