Tom Elliott has been left incensed at Victoria’s attitude to the Commonwealth Games as Glasgow confirmed more details on how they plan to host the event.

The Scottish city will use the compensation money Victoria paid after relinquishing hosting rights to stage the sporting spectacle, which will begin in July 2026.

Tom Elliott says the stripped back, 10-sport Games using only existing venues in Glasgow could have easily been held in Melbourne.

“It just makes my blood boil,” Tom said on 3AW.

“I no longer believe the government had any intention to host the Commonwealth Games. We have been utterly conned.”
