Russell Hill’s daughter Debbie has explained why she’s decided to sue Greg Lynn, the man who was acquitted of murdering her father in Victoria’s High Country four years ago.

The former pilot was acquitted of Russell Hill’s murder, but convicted of murdering fellow camper Carol Clay.

Joining Ross and Russ alongside Sly on 3AW Breakfast, Ms Hill said it was a “big shock” some of the evidence against Mr Lynn was deemed inadmissible and not heard before the court.

“I don’t believe the apology (Mr Lynn made in court to the families) was genuine,” she said on 3AW.

“It was just a statement he made to appease the jury, I didn’t think it was heartfelt or genuine at all.”
