Chief Commissioner Shane Patton says he was left incensed after being told of allegation relating to a police office performing a Nazi salute.

The 65-year-old woman is currently suspended for making the gesture at the Police Academy last week.

Victoria’s top cop told Tom Elliott the “abhorrent conduct” would be fully investigated.

“I did a press conference on Saturday to denounce the conduct,” he said on 3AW Mornings.

“I was angry then and I’m angry now, it’s abhorrent conduct and it’s not tolerated in society, let alone policing.”
