Jake Stringer has sealed a move to the GWS Giants, ending a frantic final hours of the trade period.

The Giants withdrew their interest in Stringer, before the deal was resuscitated to see the livewire forward traded for pick 53.

“My understanding is the Bombers got frustrated and they said ‘this is off’ and that was their way of trying to get this fast-tracked,” he said on the 3AW Football trade podcast.

“A lot of Bombers fans are messaging me asking how it got to this point, but this is what the club wanted.”
