Matthew Lloyd believes the Western Bulldogs have lost far too many good players during the trade period, with Luke Beveridge’s coaching moves potentially playing a role in their departure

Caleb Daniel, Bailey Smith and Jack Macrae were all traded on deadline day, with Matthew Kennedy landing at the Kennel in a last-minute move from Carlton.

Lloyd told 3AW Football’s trade podcast Beveridge would be under pressure to keep his job unless his side makes the Grand Final in 2025.

“They’ve lost far too many high quality players – and every single one of them (who left) has been played out of position,” he said on the 3AW Football trade podcast.

“With the way players have left his club, Luke Beveridge needs to probably make a Grand Final if he is to coach on (beyond 2025).”
