Matthew Lloyd says Essendon seemingly being in constant rebuild is leaving him frustrated.

The Bombers haven’t finished higher than seventh since 2002, while they haven’t won a final since 2004.

“My frustration of mine with the Bombers for a decade is it never seems to be their time,” he said on 3AW Football’s trade podcast.

“It’s never ‘we should be top four’, and now they’re pretty much factoring going to the draft for the next two years and there’s nothing wrong with that.

“But it seems they’re starting from the ground up again.”
