A woman has been rushed to hospital in a critical condition after being set upon by three dogs at a property in Dandenong.

The shocking incident unfolded just before 10am, with police confirming they were forced to shoot dead the three dogs after capsicum spray failed to stop the attack.

Channel 7 reporter Paul Dowsley was at the scene and told 3AW Drive two bulldogs and a pitbull were involved in the “relentless” attack.
