Federal opposition leader Peter Dutton has unveiled a controversial housing policy aimed and allowing the sector to recover after a turbulent recent period.

Peter Dutton wants to ban foreigners from buying a house in Australia in two years to allow the housing market to recover.

“We have an 11-year low of building starts in our country,” Mr Dutton told Tom Elliott.

“Speaking from some of the councils around the country at the moment, people can’t find builders.”
