Entertainment reporter Peter Ford has sent his thoughts out to Molly Meldrum following the health update which was provided by former Countdown announcer Gavin Wood.

The music icon suffered a brain injury back in 2011 after a fall at his Melbourne home, and Ford said “it’s kind of gone from one extreme to another”.

“I just hope he’s okay,” he said.
