Jacqui Felgate has strongly condemned the planned pro-Palestine protests next week in Melbourne and Sydney, which marks one year since the horrific Hamas attacks.

The 3AW Drive host has labelled the planned protests “inflammatory, cruel and unnecessary”, and has called on Premier Jacinta Allan to show leadership and dial down the tensions.

“By all means protest, it is your right, but on this day?” she said.

The son of a Holocaust survivor, Charlie, then called in to tell Jacqui Felgate her father is depressed, and said he feels like he is back in the 1930s in Germany.

“He is appalled, completely appalled by what’s going on,” Charlie said.
