John Pesutto has fired back at a report stating he is facing pressure to stand down as state opposition leader.

Mr Pesutto is currently under fire as the fall out from his high-profile defemination battle with Moira Deeming continues.

In an exclusive interview on 3AW Drive, the opposition leader told Jacqui Felgate he retained “strong support” amongst his colleagues.

“I have strong support in the party room,” he said.

“There’s no issue here – I’m not sure what the article is about.”
