The fall out to Glasgow replacing Victoria as the host of the 2026 Commonwealth Games has been “fairly muted”, according to a local reporter.

Scottish investigative journalist Norman Silvester says the local response to this week’s announcement has been underwhelming.

“(The reaction in Glasgow) has been fairly muted,” he told Tony Jones on 3AW Mornings.

“Most people fairly underwhelmed.”
