The Allan government is again coming under fire after it emerged paperwork hasn’t been completed to unlock over $2 billion worth of federal funding for the Suburban Rail Loop.

Shadow Treasurer Brad Rowswell says the latest revelation further highlights the need to re-align the state’s infrastructure projects, but he stopped short of pledging to cancel the Suburban Rail Loop if his government was in power.

“You can’t live in a tunnel,” Mr Rosewall said on 3AW Drive.

“Being in government is a great privileged and the state Labor government over the last 10 years has prioritised big build projects over the priorities of people.

Shane McInnes earlier said “something is not right” amid the latest revelation, questioning why the government hasn’t fast-tracked the paperwork to unlock federal funding.
