Matthew Lloyd wonders whether Hawthorn small forward Jack Ginnivan should “go play tennis sometimes” following a social media comment which sparked Friday night’s controversial post-game scenes at Adelaide Oval.

Port Adelaide coach Ken Hinkley has since been fined $20,000 for his taunt directed at Ginnivan in the explosive aftermath of the Semi Final.

Lloyd said considering footy is a team sport, Ginnivan had to be more aware that his actions on social media would affect his teammates.

“You just don’t do that (on social media),” Lloyd said on Wide World of Sports.

“You just don’t put pressure on the rest of your team, maybe he should just go play (an individual sport like) tennis sometimes.”
