GWS Head of Football Jason McCartney was in the firing line last week following his clash with Sydney’s Tom Papley, which resulted in a $20k fine.

He joined 3AW Football ahead of the Giants do-or die clash against the Lions and reflected on the moment during last weeks Qualifying Final.

“My first intention was to get our young players out of the way, then I saw Mr Papley walking through and it all changed,” McCartney said on 3AW Football.
