3AW Breakfast host Ross Stevenson thought of a new segment off the top of the show this morning called “what’s that doing in there?”

It comes after reading out the story which broke on the Rumour File of a former crown prosecutor who was denied bail.

“This is about the funniest thing I’ve read for a long time,” Ross said.

Crime reporter for The Age, Erin Pearson, who reported the story, then spoke to Ross and Russ on the very serious charges facing the former prosecutor, as well as the amusing line from her article.

“I think in journalism we have to get a little creative sometimes,” Ms Pearson said.
