Multiple witnesses and the owner of a Hawthorn cafe have spoken after Carlton coach Michael Voss made a citizen’s arrest on Tuesday morning.

Voss took matters into his own hands to apprehend an alleged car thief, who Victoria Police has since confirmed was arrested after a vehicle was flipped on its side.

Danna, who was at the scene and is a Carlton fan, told Jacqui Felgate she was amazed by what she witnessed outside the Barton Milk Bar.

“If there’s anything that Vossy had that the boys didn’t, it was body and experience,” she said on 3AW Drive.

Barton Milk Bar owner James Laskie said he was in the middle of making Michael Voss’ coffee when the car crashed and the alleged offenders emerged from the vehicle.

“Without hesitation (Michael Voss) just bolted straight after them,” he said on 3AW.
