Supermarket firebombed in suspicious early morning attack
A shop in Melbourne’s west has been set alight in a firebombing with suspected links to the ongoing tobacco wars.
Emergency services were called to Barakat International Goods in Hoppers Crossing – which was also targeted earlier this year – just before 5am on Thursday where they found a car crashed into a roller door.

Today Show reporter Christine Ahern was at the scene and said the fire was now under control.
“This is such a familiar scene in Melbourne unfortunately,” she told Ross and Russ.
