Why Matthew Richardson believes Houston suspension was slightly ‘too harsh’
Matthew Richardson says the five-game suspension handed to Port Adelaide’s Dan Houston was a “little bit harsh”.
Houston was given the lengthy ban after a head-high bump on Izak Rankine, which saw him stretchered off the field in a fiery Showdown on Saturday night.
Following the Tribunal hearing, Richardson told Wide World of Sports the suspension was a touch too long in his eyes.

“I have a little bit of empathy for (Dan Houston),” he said on 3AW.
“I thought five weeks was probably a little bit harsh.”
