3AW Breakfast sports reporter and Herald Sun journalist, Jon “Ando” Anderson, has paid tribute to his colleague Sam Landsberger following his tragic death yesterday.

The 35-year-old sports journalist died after being hit by a truck in Richmond while crossing a street.

Anderson shed light on how he found out about the news, and detailed the bright future he had at the Herald Sun.

“The news just absolutely shocked everybody,” Anderson said.

“It’s just a horrible, horribly sad story.”

3AW Wide World of Sports host Sam McClure also paid tribute after finding out the news last night.

“He was very humble, extremely kind, passionate and authentic,” McClure said.
