Collingwood star Nick Daicos says he’s “very disappointed” the club won’t be featuring in finals this year, but hopes the failure will burn among his teammates heading into the 2025 season.

The Pies won’t feature in September after a stuttering premiership defence, which saw them lose the opening three games of the season.

“I’m very disappointed we won’t be featuring in finals,” Daicos told Sam McClure and Leigh Matthews on Wide World of Sports.

“We’ve shown in the last few weeks how strong a side we are and we would’ve given (finals) a good run.”
