3G network shutdown deadline pushed back
Farmers are welcoming a decision to further extend the shut down of the 3G network.
Telco’s Optus and Telstra were due to phase out their networks from the end of the month, but farmers were concerned they wouldn’t be able to upgrade all their equipment in time.
The deadline has been pushed back to October.
Rural Editor Emily Minney spoke with New South Wales Farmers Association Rural Affairs Committee Chairwoman Deb Charlton, who says the move is being welcomed.
