Part of the roof of the Morwell Bowling Club in Gippsland has collapsed after an early morning fire.

More than 60 firefighters worked to control the blaze, after the alarm was raised at around 12:30am this morning.

“It’s a shame that this has occurred,” Fire Rescue Victoria Commander at Morwell Shane Mynard said.
