Essendon midfielder Dylan Shiel delivered an insightful post-game interview after the loss to Sydney on Friday night.

Shiel posed an intriguing question on the near future of the club, with the 3AW commentary team labelling Shiel after the interview as “thoughtful, considered, articulate and completely deflated”.

“We’ve got to be able to set the behaviours and habits that will set us up for next year and years to come,” he said.
