Essendon great Matthew Lloyd thinks retiring veteran Dyson Heppell should’ve been given a farewell game by the club in front of the home fans against Sydney on Friday night.

Lloyd said he “would’ve loved to have seen it” and thinks his teammates would’ve rallied around him as well.

But Leigh Matthews offered a different view on the situation.
