Massimo D’Ambrosio sheds light on his move from Essendon to Hawthorn
Massimo D’Ambrosio has shed light on his move from Essendon to Hawthorn during the 2023 trade period, and why he didn’t play consistently when he was at the Bombers.
D’Ambrosio played 16 games in two seasons with the Bombers, but has now played 20 games at Hawthorn this season alone, with Matthew Lloyd admitting it “hurts” as an ex-Bomber to see him flourish at the Hawks.
“At this time in my career I just needed a bit more security,” D’Ambrosio said on 3AW’s Wide World of Sports.
