Federal minister for government services, Bill Shorten, is aiming to introduce a new ‘digital ID’ program which would combine all of your personal information into one ID.

Tom Elliott said it’s reminiscent of the ‘Australia Card’ from the 1980s which caused a “huge debate” back at the time.

“I think it would be convenient,” the 3AW Mornings host said.
