‘Best we’ll see’: Australian swimming great’s big call on golden swimmers
Libby Trickett says Australia is currently in a golden generation of women’s swimming, praising the way they’ve handled the pressure of Olympics competition.
The Australia swimming legend joined Ross and Russ in Paris shortly after calling Mollie O’Callaghan’s win in the 200m freestyle on 3AW.

“I think our women’s swimming team is the best we’ll see for a long time,” she said.
“They are absolutely incredibly strong, with Mollie (O’Callaghan) and Ariane (Titmus) going 1-2, this is the first time we’ve seen an Australian quinella (at the Olympics) since Ian Thorpe and Grant Hackett 20 years ago.”
