The investigative reporter who lifted the lid on alleged widespread corruption within the CFMEU says he continues to receive numerous tip offs on shady behaviour within the construction industry.

Nick McKenzie’s latest report in The Age on Friday lifts the lid on text messages sent to former construction union head John Setka by senior Labor figures in 2019 as he fought against domestic violence campaigner Rosie Batty.

Mr McKenzie told 3AW Breakfast “people are angry” following his revelations on the construction union in the last week.

“People are also relieved that this is finally getting some proper political attention,” he said on Ross and Russ.
